Republicans in Danger of Losing Indiana to the Democrats11/25/07 Bush carried Indiana over Al Gore and John Kerry by comfortable margins in elections 2000 and 2004 respectively but the latest poll out of Indiana suggests that a generic Democratic candidate would beat the generic Republican candidate 37% to 32%. If Evan Bayh is selected as a Vice Presidential candidate on the Democratic ticket, the Democrats would have a 47% to 33% advantage. It is no wonder Democrats are gaining an advantage in this state. 74% says we are headed in the wrong track, 68% disapprove of Bush's handling of the war in Iraq, and 71% disapprove of the Immigration policy. 56% say that troops should leave sooner as compared to only 38% saying they should stay longer.
